What is this?

(OK, and I promise I'm not turning this into a game blog).

That is my newest creation in the game Second Life, flying over one of the new void sims (which sadly will not be void once the land barons get it and chunk it up for profit). It's my rendition of a J7W1 Shinden, a Japanese prototype plane built very late in WWII, rendered in 30 primitives and programmed by moi with working gear, stall characteristics, a realistic on-ground taxi mode, and crash detection (still working a few bugs out of that).

Since it is a Japanese plane, I thought it only fitting to get a shot of the rising sun in the background.

I've had a blast building and flying this plane and it has, perhaps, renewed my faith in the world called Second Life. I finally succeded in making something there in that make-believe world that I am truly proud of. I still find intense irony in that thought.

Nice, the short lived "Magnificent Lightning" excellent choice and wonderful reproduction. Any plans for the eventual jet powered final model the "Shinden Kai"? Without the (now) controversial use of the two nuclear bombs advanced designs like this would have been taking heavy tolls on our troops much like the Me - 262 Schwalbe and the Me 163 Komet did when Germany had to time to produce their next generation fighters (although still to late). Did you know the Japanese also manufactured, but never got to fly a version of the Komet? Or that the Me-262 went back into production in 2005! There are 3 new 262s for sale from that limited production…maybe I could get a loan from the bank…But I don't think my credit is good enough for 2 million plus. I suppose I should stick with virtual versions myself...Grumble-grumble. Real life can be a let down sometimes.
Your blog will become many things. So what if it's about gaming right now? If that's what you want to write about, at least you're writing and keeping us up-to-date on something in your life.

I suggest building an airport right away because once others find out that you can build a plane, they will and they're going to want a hanger to park it in.
